Dillon Rawlings is an artist whose artistic journey began at The Classical Academy during high school. With a passion for creativity ignited in those formative years, he creates a harmonious fusion of intricate detail and graceful form. At age 14, Dillon met nationally acclaimed fine artist Thomas Blackshear, beginning a mentorship that shaped his path. Under Blackshear’s guidance he honed his skills and deepened his creative approach. In 2017 he won Best of Show at the Scholastics and D20 art show in Colorado Springs, and was represented in the National Scholastic Art & Writing competition at the Denver Art Museum in both his sophomore and senior years. Since high school he has participated in the 2024 and 2025 Broadmoor Art Experience events.

Creativity runs in the family. His father, Greg Rawlings, sketched with him as a child those early sessions sparked a lasting passion, with oil painting as his primary focus. He also works in gold leaf, acrylic, charcoal, gouache, and chalk pastel. Each piece reflects a pursuit of growth and draws inspiration from animals, people, architecture, and plants. From those first days at The Classical Academy to now, Dillon stays rooted in craft — a distinctive voice where realism intertwines with Art Nouveau.
